My work is an exploration of existence and the hopes and dreams we experience as conscious human beings during our short window of time on this Earth. What if, when we die, our existence as we know it scatters back into a million pieces and it is not that we cease to exist but that we flow back into the river of things. Through the use of repetition, and found materials, collected and dated, I am exploring what it means to be an individual within a mass. When we work to step outside of our own reality to recognize the whole that we are a part of it becomes easier to see the inherent hope and possibilities of life. By examining the dichotomy of life and work I hope to understand how this separation has left us seemingly at odds with our environments and ultimately ourselves.
