Daisy McManaman (b. 1993, York, UK) is an interdisciplinary artist based between Chicago and Glasgow, Scotland. Her work centres around themes of hyper-feminine, constructed sexualities. Shifting between object making and lens based performance she crafts heightened versions of hyper-femme ideals in attempts to disrupt and reclaim archetypes of femininity from the patriarchal context in which they are often found. Icons of femininity from burlesque queens, Playboy bunnies, tassels and powder puffs appear often in her work, made enlarged and oversaturated in pinks to command space and attention
