Guest Curator:
Kate Nesin is a New York–based art historian. As associate curator for contemporary art at the Art Institute of Chicago from 2013 to 2017, she organized solo shows with Lucy McKenzie, Frances Stark, Kemang Wa Lehulere, and Helena Almeida, among other exhibitions and collection installations. Kate has taught at New York University, Princeton University, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her book on Cy Twombly’s sculptures was published by Yale University Press in 2014, and she writes frequently on postwar and contemporary artists, including recently Diane Simpson, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, and Tomma Abts.
