A performance by Catie Rutledge.

Bedroom Pop is an ongoing performance exploring the overlap of multiple spaces- the bedroom, the studio, and the stage- within the site of the installation. Through an accumulation of gestures that include painting, singing, and dancing, the artist will articulate her own experiences and understanding of what it meant for her to identify as emo as a teenager.

Emo Intervention is a performance for two using costume, CD players, and headphones. The work explores ideas of interiority and what it means to be alone and together within the space of a song.
