WHAT IS LASER PRINTING<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n
\n

Laser printing\u00a0is an electrostatic digital\u00a0printing\u00a0process. It produces high-quality text and graphics (and moderate-quality photographs) by repeatedly passing a\u00a0laser\u00a0beam back and forth over a negatively charged cylinder called a “drum” to\u00a0define a differentially charged image. The drum then selectively collects electrically charged powdered ink (toner<\/a>), and transfers the image to paper, which is then heated in order to permanently fuse the text, imagery, or both, to the paper.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
