SITE is a student-led effort where exhibition experience and learning is provided by the administrative, operational, artistic, and curatorial decisions necessary to run a professional gallery. SITE is run by a staff of six Gallery Directors and supported by various student positions. The SITE Directors form and implement the vision for the SITE Galleries exhibition season.\u00a0 Through these efforts, the Directors build the culture of the organization and have an influential role as representatives of the student voice to the SAIC community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Seth Perry (he\/they)<\/h4>\n

Director of Administration<\/h4>\n

Seth is an arts administrator and occasional artist from North Carolina. Driven by his love of community, Seth is particularly interested in administration as a creative, collaborative process to connect people and resources. Before relocating to Chicago, Seth held positions at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum, and the Catherine J. Smith Gallery. Since moving to the city, they have collaborated on projects with Walls Turned Sideways and Public Media Institute. Seth holds a BFA from Appalachian State University and is currently pursuing an MA in Arts Administration & Policy at SAIC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eugenio Salazar Castro (he\/him)<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Director of Marketing & Communications<\/span><\/h4>\n

Eugenio is an artist from Monterrey, Mexico. He is in his fourth year as an undergrad in the Painting and Drawing department at SAIC. Eugenio’s painting practice aims to create ambiguous and desolate yet strangely familiar spaces greatly inspired by the distinct urban landscapes of Chicago. Using vast, shadowless planes of color, Eugenio paints a stillness that is navigable by foot. In his free time, Eugenio enjoys reading, playing guitar, and petting stray cats.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nora Hamilton<\/b> (she\/her)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Director of Programming<\/h4>\n

Nora<\/span> Hamilton is an interdisciplinary artist based in Chicago. Hamilton is currently receiving a BFA in Studio from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in painting. Her practice is centered around themes of region, self-portraiture, and identity. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, her experience growing up around the limestone caves and rural plains of Central America heavily informs her practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Claire Scott<\/b> (she\/her)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Director of Installation<\/h4>\n

Claire Scott is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on ceramics and furniture construction. Currently working toward her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Claire focuses mostly on functional items and furniture but her sculptural practice leans themes of nature and the degradation of space. Born in Chicago and raised partly in Indiana, Claire has also spent years around horses, training them and teaching lessons, themes of rural life and a love for animals frequently inspires their work. Claire currently works as Installation Director for SAIC Galleries\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paige King<\/b> (she\/her)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Director of Installation<\/h4>\n

Paige King is a fourth-year BFA student from Ann Arbor, MI. Paige is a filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist. Paige King uses visual media to explore the internal struggles and the external family dynamics of children and young adults, specifically in young girls. The work focuses on adultification, depression, and belonging. King started out as a Gallery Assistant before transitioning into the Install Director position. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jasmine Johnson\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Director of Special Programs<\/h4>\n

Jasmine Johnson is an interdisciplinary artist and curator based in Chicago. Johnson is currently receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Johnson has an artistic practice that includes sculpture, painting, and performance that explores themes of spirituality, solidarity, and home. Johnson has a curatorial practice inspired by play, institutional critique, and the nuance of human experiences. Johnson is currently one half of MagandMan, a curatorial duo and also works as a Gallery Assistant for SAIC Galleries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Clare Haffner is a second year graduate student in the Dual M.A. Art History and Arts Administration program. Clare’s artistic practice most often explores the uncannier aspects of the human body. Aside from art, Clare also enjoys spending time with her five lovely pet birds.<\/p>\n

Linn Soh (she\/her)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Gallery Assistant & Install Assistant<\/h4>\n

Linn is a painter, writer, and printmaker at SAIC with a minor in philosophy. She has worked as a Gallery Assistant for SITE and has tutored children in music theory and painting. To the existentialists, she answers that art is the only proof of human existence, and love is the only force that transcends death. Despite these heavy topics, she believes in the importance of play and having fun with art. She climbs rocks in her free time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jaeden Hannus is an image based artist and curator working between Chicago and Northeast Wisconsin. He is currently pursuing a BFA in studio art with an emphasis on photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL, Ox-Bow School of Art, Saugatuck, MI and others. Hannus has two solo exhibitions in 2025, \u2018something once was, something still is\u2019 at Photo Opp, Appleton, WI, August 2025, and \u2018Self Portrait as a Wisconsin Man\u2019 at Site Galleries, Chicago, IL, September 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Songe Kvinsland is focusing on painting at SAIC and has been with the SITE team for nearly 4 years. They are interested in traditional Scandinavian folk painting within their work as well as having academic focus in queer studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mia is in her second year here at SAIC and is excited to learn about the new exhibitions at SITE galleries. Working at SITE inspires her to make her own artwork in and outside of her classes. Some fun facts about Mia is that she is from New York City! She is a reader, loves journaling and writing about her journey as a whole.<\/p>\n

Gabriella Guzman<\/b> (she\/they)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Gallery Assistant<\/h4>\n

Gabriella Guzman is a photographer and interdisciplinary artist whose work centers on family, identity, and the passage of time. They are pursuing their BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, working primarily in photography while also exploring mixed media, ink, and colored pencil. Born in Brownsville, Texas, and raised in Montana, Puerto Rico, and Louisiana as part of a military family, their experiences of constant change and adaptation deeply inform their practice.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Leo O’Connor (he\/him)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Archive Assistant & Gallery Assistant<\/h4>\n

Leo hails from the warm west of central California. He is currently in his second year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he is pursuing his BFA in Studio Art. Presently, he is focused on creating short animations concerned self image through the lens of morality and obligation. His stories are informed by the experiences he collects from the his life, from the world, and from his friends and family. Back west, he loves his mountain home for the long walks with his siblings and his dogs. Here in the Loop, he loves Chicago for the afternoon lights on the buildings and the urban hubbub of the CTA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finn Johnson (they\/them)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Gallery Assistant<\/h4>\n

Finn is in their second year here at SAIC. They have a focus in art history, being from Ohio they are interested in how the art culture changes when you move from a rural area and into a major city. In their free time they enjoy embroidery and playing video games. For their occasional art practice they prefer black and white photography believing that the hands-on procedures that come with film is an integral part to art.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assistant Director of Exhibitions, Staff Advisor for SITE Galleries and INCUBATOR<\/h4>\n

Th\u01b0\u01a1ng Ho\u00e0i Tr\u1ea7n holds a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Emporia State University, and an MFA from the School of Art Institute of Chicago. They began working in the Department of Exhibitions at SAIC in 2020 as a Graduate Gallery Install Assistant, continued in 2022 as a Gallery Technician, and in 2023 as an Exhibition Manager (Art and Media Specialist). Now Th\u01b0\u01a1ng is the current Assistant Director of Exhibitions, Staff Advisor for SITE Galleries and INCUBATOR.<\/span><\/p>\n
