Erosion is the gradual weathering of soil and rock caused by wind, water, and other natural forces. One thing is certain: the ground we stand on is falling from beneath our feet. Ache of Erosion is an exhibition of paintings exploring the condition of existence through the mechanism of larger than life entropic forces, both celebrating and questioning what it means to feel human.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“<\/span>Erosion Case Study is a daily Instagram initiative that will be conducted by Elisabeth Heying throughout the course of her solo exhibition, Ache of Erosion. Every day between September 16th and October 16th, Elisabeth will visit and document the exact same piece of land on Chicago’s lakefront to examine the change, or lack of change, that takes place throughout this period of time. These photo and video documentations can be found in Elisabeth’s daily instagram stories, and will be compiled in a highlight bubble titled “Erosion Case Study.”<\/p>\n
