A block of clay tied to a tree with bright pink cord being punched, pieces of it fall to the ground; a 2D stock image of a red wig following the face of a person singing, framing it and attempting to conceal their hair; a length of electrical cord tied to a piece of felt pulled from an opaque viscous white liquid in a bathtub; a strange fishnet like organ-tunnel filled with oranges laid open and painted to look like flesh all suspended by a web of black threads.
These illustrative snippets describe various material moments which occur in different performative works of mine. My work attempts to articulate twisty hard to put into words emotions and feelings or occasionally sensations, which collectively create a glimpse of what I call trauma-brain or PTSD-brain.
