I have been inspired by a tragic story happened to 6th Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso.
According to folklore, he had formed an intimate relationship with this girl in his childhood. After 15 years of normal life, he was delivered to the Potala Palace by two men he had seen for the first time of his life. He became the chosen one, reincarnation of the great 5th Dalai Lama. Suddenly he has the responsibilities to be the king to take care of the whole kingdom. That means his personal life dies away once he arrived in the Potala Palace. His holiness, 6th Dalai Lama, all his life has struggled between his love afire and Budda. In his own poem, he said: “It is not possible for the best of two worlds to occur, and let me be worthy of both Budda and her.” Tibetans are so deeply devoted to this Dalai Lama and just entrusted their lives to him. He could not betray all these people relied on him. The only choice left for him is to betray his heart, his girl. His life is trapped in this political cage selected by others. How sad it is that a person does not have authority in his own life. The marvelous snow kingdom is actually his curse as an individual. He died at a very young age 24. I want to express the sense that he has been destroyed by this kingdom through this project.
