Lately, my work has been focused on the female body itself and the liberation of it. For this project I was thinking about the oppression that the female body has suffered and still does. Even though the nudity of the female body can be a patriarchal idea because of its objectification, I believe that when a woman takes it, owns it, and embraces it, it empowers her. From this idea, I decided to develop a collection by deconstructing the female body and building up a new one by collaging the deconstructed pieces, a new non-objectified body that empowers all women. The Metallifer of my concept comes from the glowines of wet skin.
