This collection stems from my curiosity with the fantastical yet plausible scenes acted out by children when playing with dolls. The hand of children in doll play proposes the concept of power into the relationship between the controller and the controlled, suggesting that a urge for dominance is fostered in the beginning of emotional and social development. Using stereotypical motifs of my suburban childhood, this collection works to explore these heavy concepts by using humor and irony alongside my whimsical design style to facilitate communication.
