This installation required different kinds of machine knitting skills. To explore and learn different kinds of machine knitting techniques, designer need to refer many machine knitting books and try not miss even one tiny step when knitting. Just like the feeling of a little girl trying to learn lot of things and develop all around by her effort. The techniques she will learn will support her in her future endeavors. More techniques she knows, more confidence she has on herself. As a first learner of machine knitting, many steps of knitting fabrics are new and difficult for her. But she challenged herself to achieve it. Also when she was making the project she feel a little bit too orthodox, as all the techniques she use in this project is same as mentioned in the book. So she wanted to add a little bit of her touch when doing the display. To make the project and stay and portable, she thought about using wood frame. And just wrap the yarn of fabrics to stretch it and make the fabric as stretched as possible. So home is like a big strong frame outside which can protect the interior from outside elements, while inside elements are soft, colorful and alive making this an elegant piece.
