“Watch Your Back”

Concept |

When I studied in Paris my class went on a field trip to the famous cemetery Père Lachaise. Père Lachaise is a large cemetery that is filled with twisting roads and strange tombs. I ended up getting lost within the cemetery walls by myself and that memory has stayed with me for a long time. When I started dissecting this memory I began to wonder what if I had met some ghosts while wandering the cemetery alone, and my concept for my collection grew from there. These looks that I have created are meant to representation of the imagery ghosts from Père Lachaise. Each garment are meant to challenge what is traditionally worn as streetwear by adding ruffles, different textures, and historical touches. Not all ghosts are friendly, so keep an eye out.
