Monster’s Closet is the latest collection inspired by Medieval monsters. In Medieval manuscripts, there are various monsters documented with exquisite illustration. However, rather than scaring people all the time, some monsters convey funny aspects and show people how wildly people in the past could imagine about the world. With abundant colors and unbelievable combinations of different creatures, these monsters creates a mischievous atmosphere. Smiling skeleton, bird with human head, mermaid and radish-like human face, all provide lots of possibilities to create shapes of garments. Using medieval monsters as starting points, the collection further displays how ready to wear garments create connections to unconventional shapes and explores new materials in relation to the concept.

Myra is a Junior fashion student. She works with women’s wear mainly. Exploring through materials and sewing techniques, she gradually finds her own way of working. Her works are funny, but also have a lot of minimalist quality. Working with new materials is always what she loves to do. Temperature controlled fabrics and inflatable garments are what she is interested and working with right now. Shape of garments is another significant element in her work. She likes to work with unconventional but wearable shapes to show her aesthetics.
