“In Between”
Concept |
Life is a flow and everything changes all the time. Inspired by the Butoh dancer, Kazuo Ohno, and Japanese ink painting artist, Toko Shinoda, I’m exploring the in-between moments and space, and the sense of intuition and imperfection. I believe something flows in between certain and uncertain currents energy to create mood. Rather than focusing on predetermined outcomes, I cherish ephemeral moments and unexpected surprise during the making process by following my intuition. By giving space to both the body and garments, each piece provides certain security for the wearer and the changeable interactions help to build up the personal relationship between the wearer and the clothes. Throughout my collection, I aim to capture a sense of slowness in life and the flow between certain and uncertain.
