Nancy Zhu was born in Hangzhou, China, immigrated to Canada and moved to Chicago to study. Her design practice focuses on creating mood and exploring the sense of in-between and imperfection. Cherishing ephemeral moments and uncertainty, she follows her intuition and captures a sense of slowness and movement in life. She is interested in designing unisex interactive garments and accessories which provide space between the body and clothes and encourage the wearers to engage in interactive relationships with the garments.
