(ID, EGO, SUPEREGO)
Quantum physics suggests that nothing is physically continuous in life, everything is intermittent including our subconscious, memories and feelings. Deep down, we keep the child-self inside of us. When childhood is damaged, we start creating a shell of ego. My garment represents an ego shell that has been damaged. It is broken. The larger fragmented bottom half of the garment represents ID which is the primary survival instincts of the self. The middle part that is more formed and controlled represents the ego showing the constraints on the self. The top part represents the super ego which holds all our internalized moral standards and ideals. The broken mirrors on the garment reflect violence, internal rage and external disappointments. The mirrors also represent ego facing the true self and finding expression. The whole garment acts as a defense mechanism of rage.
