Form in Fabric
Shaping of the Female Form / Next to Skin
During the pandemic, life seems to wilt away as the world grinds to a halt. Like the rest of the world, a heavy sense of dread and decay looms about, slowly consuming. But instead of letting it take over my body, I reach for the comfort of nature and its endurance to overcome catastrophe. The garment, Kallima, and its parts/ constituents, are an ode to the tiny seed of hope that glimmers within the dark, inspired by nature’s power to use the illusion of death and decay to spring forth life.
