Hi, My name is HaoJun Li. My first project is called Extreme Passion. It is for the record the passion that I had in my first year in college, also Chicago. For this project, Mr. Benjamin wants us to choose one specific material and stick to it to do this project, so I chose heat press printing. The whole garment made with different textures of white fabric+ heat press printing. There are about twenty five different printing patterns I drew in this dress. It can be wear in many different ways. It also can flip inside out, if you want to show the inner printing out. Please watch the videos I made for this garment.

HaoJun Li-5, Volcano Rain 1
This is my second project. It is called Volcano Rain. Russian army used Thermite bomb in the war when I started this project. Thermite bomb is a bomb that can burn incredibly hot, up to 4500 degrees. If you never saw the video of their attacks with thermite bomb, just imagin there is sparkling volcano rain cover the whole city, but it is actuallly way hotter than volcano. It can melt down metal and rock. The satiric thing is it looks like fireworks, but it is melting down all the lives. It is actually prohibited to use Incendiary weapon, but all the rules turned into trash after the war began. I want to use this garment to show the sorrow of the war and support peace.

The idea of using acrylic board to make the inner part of this dress is from the thermite bomb. It is sparking, but deadly. The acrylic pieces is shinny, but also very sharp that will scratch the skin of wearer.

The idea of the red woven yarns cover the whole body is from the blood bleeding that happened in this war. It is so much.

This project is from beginning of this semester. It don't really have a theme. The materials made of this garment are from the waste fabrics of fiber department. I did some fabric manipulation on it.

I feel these three projects is the record of progress this year. I don’t have much to say anymore. But please be notice what is happening in Ukraine and against war. I saw that many people are joking about this war on internet. The volcano rain might falling on our head if we don’t against war.
