In my senior year at SAIC, I fell in love with Millinery. I deeply explored the medium in an attempt to learn every skill I possibly could in the world of hat making. Skills I studied include flat patterning, wire frame building, buckram and sinamay blocking, draping, and felt blocking. I have a deep love for learning that I feel is present in my range of work.

I work in fashion design, textiles, and I am an Art Historian as well. My work in design and textiles revolves heavily around transforming materials that are already on the earth into high-end luxury items. I not only mend, reuse, and upcycle for my own work, but also try to share my skills with others through social media and communication with friends and family as a social aspect of my artistic practice. My clothing designs embrace humor, kitsch, and cuteness. Inspired by camp fashion pioneers like Moschino and Schiaparelli, I love to make playful clothes that make people laugh. I find fashion to often be too serious and tragic. I want to see more happy clothes in the world, so I make them for myself.
