My work is heavily inspired by the nature that surrounds us. The way that Mother Nature has the ability to heal itself, replenish and evolve, has always been fascinating to me. There is undeniable beauty in the patterns and formations that nature creates; I’d like to continue exploring how to incorporate this into my work.

Growing up, I was always surrounded by nature and my mom’s obsession with gardening. Though we never had many flowers, because it was always preferred to have perennials, what we did have in abundance were Mexican marigolds. Every year we would pluck the seeds off the dried flowers and store them in a shoebox until it overflowed. For me the marigold represents nostalgia as well as warmth and comfort.
