Artist Statement
Uncertainty is certainty, insecurity is security, irreversibility is reversibility. I live in a space with only I am, with plants and animals, with people, with buildings and the sea, with vacuum and X-ray.
I make geometric sculptures, garments, wearable sculptural installations, and knits that can be transformed, reused, or played with in different ways, inviting the viewers to engage with them beyond their expectations.
Life is light, and shadow is the shape of light. I manipulate and reshape translucent, two-dimensional materials and form them into irregular shapes, curves, and lines with varied/contorted thickness to indirectly reflect light and shadow. My work embodies a color palette that includes faded and bold hues.

All Play, No Work
Children do not have to conform to social norms or worry about others’ opinions. They have a natural right to be tolerated and to explore their desires freely. My aspiration is to create a space that obfuscates the boundary between exteriority and an inward universe, in which people can be fully immersed in the knitted installation. The vibrant hues are meant to evoke childhood and give viewers a chance to be set free from the pressure of adulthood, to act by following their hearts.
