Dedicated to the study of the body, Figure Painting and Drawing courses prioritize various approaches to the line, shape, volume and anatomy of the human form. Figure Models are an incredibly valuable resource and central to teaching and learning at SAIC.
The Department of Instructional Resources & Facilities Management provides Figure Model services to faculty teaching and faculty guided student groups at SAIC. Faculty from any department can request a Figure Model for each of their courses for as many occasions as they require throughout the semester. Over 600 individual modeling sessions are delivered each academic year.
