Juelin believes everything explains one another, and she believes this law applies to architecture too. Juelin believes architectural design takes responsibility for the future and she tends to answer questions about the future with the past.

Juelin’s quantitative thesis research aims to identify better ratios between commercial, residential, and industrial zoning to improve urban communities and citizens’ well-being by creating a tool useful to guide changes in the way cities are planned by identifying problems in zoning configuration and offering alternatives to city sprawling and residents’ moving out.
