Jungho Park was born in Korea in 1993 and grew up experiencing various artistic influences from parents who majored in art and design. They took him to many art events, so he naturally got used to art as a child. They kept asking him what he thought about the art works he saw; this gave him the opportunity to establish his particular point of view and subjectivity. Gradually he got used to discuss about those works having become capable of developing his own perspectives and ideas on art. This has been very useful for developing his thoughts throughout the practice. It also made him think about the fundamental question of what art is.

In 2009, when he was a high school student, after seeing a student’s work at Aalto University in Finland, he chose to take the path of art and studied sculpture at Kyung Hee University in Seoul where he received a BFA in Sculpture. During his undergraduate years, he studied video and kinetic art while making sculptural works using diverse materials including metal, wood, polycarbonate, acrylic and etc. From then on, he learned to engage additional materials and develop working concepts. Currently, he is a master’s student in Art and Technology Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focusing on media installation.
