Yue Xu is a multimedia artist making sculptures, installations, video environments, and artist’s books. Xu’s works focus on the serendipitous and absurd surprises that occur in often-overlooked moments of the habitual surrounding of daily life.

In her work, Xu draws attention to the forces that structure our everyday lives by using different materials and spatial analogies. She combines found objects with raw materials and industrial materials. In doing so, her work creates temporary spaces—a state of diffused emotions floating in the air without a sense of belonging.
