Yuxuan（Marina) Chen is an artist also a fashion designer who was born and raised in China and mastered Chinese English and Japanese. Currently studying in the school of art institute of Chicago.

She has received a painting education since childhood. She has built her own independent artistic aesthetic through great creativity and imagination. Her special emotions for clothes led her to determine that she wanted to become a fashion designer. In China she majored in fashion design, after graduating she choose to go abroad for further studies in fashion design. She started by getting a Post-bac degree in Fashion Body and Garment program at SAIC in 2018. She continued to study by attending their graduate program with tutor Nick Cave. She has taken summer advance fashion design courses in Central Saint Martins , UK and received A grades from the ending course evaluation.

Yuxuan Chen is a Fashion designer and artist but regards herself more as an aesthetic creation magician. She was born in China and currently lives and studies in Chicago at SAIC. She is always exploring herself deeply through all of her works. Her practice operates as her long-term and uninterrupted self-exploration, emotional outlet, artistic revolt and spiritual practice. All of her work explores space, the human body, and aesthetic.

She asks the question, “How can she make connections with the audience and the outside world?”. She tries to use her own works to communicate as a means to generate an honest discussion about personal growth and discovery. Yuxuan has dedicated her personal work to exploring the physical, emotional, and spiritual point of view, healing and adversity, and suffering within humanity. Recently, she has tried different unconventional materials and different techniques in order to create something vibrant and emotionally attached with people. These new works have been designed to express the truest emotions between people and the world.
