Adel Machacca is an architect, researcher, and artist who specializes in creating maps and spaces that leave a profound emotional impact. He uses his multidisciplinary skills and knowledge to push the boundaries of traditional architecture and create a new language of communication in the field. His work is deeply informed by the principles of psychogeography, which he incorporates to create spaces that serve practical functions while also fostering a meaningful connection to the history, culture, and identity of the area. Adel’s artistic practice seeks to create a new dimension of experience in architecture through simplicity and profundity. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Beirut Arab University and is completing his Master of Fine Arts in Architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
