Jackson Schorer – Designing For Family

Master of Design in Designed Objects

My family is very important to me as they have taught me what it feels like to be loved and to have my ambitions embraced. It is from this foundation that I derive my passion as a creator and for the transcendence of this experience that I design. In my belief, to design is to reshape the world in the way the wave turns stone to sand – gradually and in all the small ways we can to make a difference. Good design is a warm embrace – because it is intended to support and uplift the receiver. I design objects with the goal of accentuating the pursuit of users’ passions, emphasizing introspection as a means for growth, and reframing design for people as solutions that feel intrinsically personal.
