Filmmaker Yi (Nino) Liu was born in Beijing, China in 2000. She is currently studying at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which brings her a vision of cinema, philosophy, and visual criticism. Working as a producer/director/gaffer on the student independent film productions in Chicago. Nino’s films talk about how people construct a small community to express their minor identities: their queerness, experience with illness, and private language or dialects.
