Zechen Li is a 2d animator, filmmaker, and sound designer based in Chicago and Beijing. As an avid storyteller and visual artist, he creates animated shorts and soundscapes that explore aspects of childhood memories, everyday feelings, and bizarre landscapes. Growing up in a metropolitan area and currently pursuing a BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Zechen fuses international influences into his art-making process. Furthermore, he is passionate about integrating cinema, new media, graphic design, and other artistic disciplines into his work. His latest project, Chroma Wheel, is a 2D animated film that will be screening at the Gene Siskel Film Center. In the future, he hopes to continue making immersive and thought-provoking animations and films.
