Zhi Ding is a Chicago-based artist; she graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and received a Post-Bacc certificate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently, she is a candidate for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Painting and Drawing MFA program.

Ding mainly works with oil on small-scale surfaces for an intimate viewing experience. By creating works that are contemplative and quiet in character, Ding unpacks complicated experiences, ideas, and issues.
