Zirou Zhang is a fashion designer and weaver currently based in Chicago, Illinois. She is primarily focused on fashion, weaving, and knitting. Combining different textures and colors is a large part of her practice, she uses colors that are cheerful to create garments and objects that are playful and sentimental in how they are assembled and in how a viewer interprets them. Zhang received her BFA in Textile Art – Fashion Design from Hongik University and will graduate with an MDes in Fashion, Body, and Garment from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May 2023.
