Raised in Washington State, based in Chicago. Miles Eden is a filmmaker working primarily in the medium of 16mm and other analog formats. His experimental narrative work utilizes traditional in-camera techniques of editing, as well as physical alterations to the film in order to affect the image and attain a unique visual atmosphere. His work is primarily concerned with exploring human social relations, as well as the ambiguous space between the self and the perceived world. His work is grounded in the context of our current socio-political climate, reflecting the social alienation and distortion that late stage capitalism has pushed us toward and molded our lifestyles around.
