Barbara Polster (b. 1987, Cleveland, OH) is an artist who, through a multidisciplinary practice, traces methods of language and poetics through to a questioning of indeterminate space. Solo exhibitions and performances include: Critical Practices, Inc.’s The Culture Club, New York, NY; Wabash Window, The Leroy Neiman Center, School of the Art Institute of Chicago; GLASSBOX gallery, Seattle, WA; Forum Artspace, Cleveland, OH; and the William Busta Gallery, Cleveland, OH. In addition, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including exhibitions with AIR Gallery (Brooklyn), Field Projects Gallery (NYC) at Satellite Miami, Punch Gallery (Seattle), and the Cleveland Museum of Art. She was awarded the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland Neznadny + Schwartz Visiting Curator Selection by João Ribas, Deputy Director & Senior Curator, Serralves. She was the recipient of a King County 4Culture Grant. She is currently INTERLINK Visiting Artist Program Coordinator and Writing Fellow at SAIC.
