I investigate both overt and and camouflaged systems of power and control, on scales ranging from the military projection of global violence in the name of national defense to the individual practice of carrying concealed firearms to combat perceived local threats, to the exclusionary architectural language of suburbia. I hope to help viewers confront their own positions in these systems of power and allow for reexamination of the roles we assume as we balance comfort and fear in our own ideologies.
