I’m in the process of searching and repairing ancestral bonds broken by slavery. I’ve blended my artistic and spiritual practice to create an amalgamation that re-situates me in several places; in a stronger relation to other black americans, in stronger communication with the matrilineal spiritual practice I desire, and in building a practice that tends to the needs of now. Photography and installations are the foundation on which I explore these ideas, and where/how I hope to construct a larger narrative.
