During this quarantine, we are often reflecting on ourselves: our bodies, our emotions, and our mental state. It is not only exhausting but ever-present and just adds to the feeling of isolation we, as a collective, are experiencing. I am exploring my hyperfocus on my own body that is ultimately inflicted by having to isolate while trying to stay afloat during this global pandemic.
This image is a reflection of my physical body and state of being during the pandemic’s forced isolation. It is a study of my own emotions while living in a space that was not conducive to my mental health. In quarantine, we have had to confront our deepest of selves and this image is a sample of that experience as well as a visual explanation of what isolation can look like.
