The time of pandemic marked often-disregarded complexities of the human body and the game-changing relationships between human and non-human bodies such as viruses.
For me, it made representation of the human body even more uncertain. What does it mean for me to come back from the pandemic? It means to refocus on the invisible and to reconnect with my body.
Just like my sculpture that generates kinesthetic response inviting the viewer to balance precariously, I too sympathize with the rest of the world feeling unstable and trying to come back to shape.
With its material qualities, dimensions and form, this floor standing sculpture suggests both a human body and an object with potential for self-reinvention.
