During a time of chaotic downfalls an artist may experience whats known as a creative drought. “Limbo” was a piece created about the lack of creation and me exploring new ways to find inspiration. The method of painting the feeling of not knowing what to paint became my best friend. The year of 2020 was a year of chaos and disappointment and with the lack of activity created a lack of creation.

Limbo focuses on the bleak feeling of depression and displacement that comes with being in a creative drought. The intense hue of French Ultramarine to represent the melancholy moods of unknowing, being uninspired, uncomfortable and unproductive.
