On Wednesday, April 15th 2020, between 8am-8pm, I set out to hold time and memory accountable. I documented all the things I touched with my hands, creating a list of things in the order they were touched. The day was condensed to 3 minutes and 41 seconds. The amount of time it takes to read the name of each thing I touched. In a time when touching is suspect and dangerous, and interactions are flattened to a screen, this became an intimate study of surfaces connected through a system of touch to create a materialized timeline and an embodied narrative.
