Martin Brown

Quarantine was a hard time for a lot of people, and understandably I’m sure most people are a bit stressed about resuming human contact but overall relieved. My submission relates to my difficulties in relating to people’s emotions about the pandemic because of the process of grieving my friend’s death in isolation.

My work is the manifestation of grief and an anger that continues to resurface. It is able to proclaim something in large text that I have no idea how to mention to people I’ve been meeting since I moved here.

Dedicated to my friend Gisela, who has been missed more than she could imagine.
