Hae Park (Jihae Park, b 1987) is an artist who currently works in Chicago, IL and Portland, Oregon. She finished her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013. She is a MFA candidate in the Painting and Drawing Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Hae Park makes paintings, sculptures, and installations. Her work is deeply rooted in her county’s social and political landscape, including the history of Korea’s division, and her paintings and installations abstractly address these circumstances by juxtaposing sadness and pleasure, seriousness and humor, freedom and control, pain and coziness.
