Fashion design is an expression of personal identity and a means of creating cultural discourse. My ambition for art and fashion design motivates me to pursue interdisciplinary work. My creative output often incorporates colorful and diverse hues. Although fashion design is a central focus of my work, my creative process is not limited to any single medium, such as drawing, sculpting, photography, etc. Incorporating a variety of techniques and elements is one of my greatest interests. My subject matter centers around relationships that reveal vulnerability and authenticity, such as memory, human connections, and emotions. Through exploring these themes, I gain a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.

White Dream is a project component of a top, a bottom dress, and two accessory pieces including the veil and 3D printing gloves. I practiced my draping skills to create a garment as a first-year student through this project. And I want to capture the essence of a traditional wedding dress while also adding some of my personal unique designs. As someone who has been surrounded by good relationships throughout my life, I have always been drawn to the idea of marriage and the beauty of the wedding ceremony. But at the same time, I also want to express that girls don’t necessarily need to get married to wear a wedding dress, we can be a “bride” every day if we want to.
Pink Armor is a powerful wearable accessory that aims to empower females and challenge traditional gender roles. Using muslin fabric, I have created a repetitive shape that gives the wearer a sense of armor, but with a distinctly feminine touch. By creating a piece that is both protective and beautiful, I hope that this piece will serve as a reminder that femininity and strength are not mutually exclusive, but rather, complementary qualities that can coexist in powerful and meaningful ways.
