Ariel Shim’s work represent her interest in a dramatic scenario of an original animation where a small and fragile character overcomes the hardships provided from the environment. The hardship is symbolizing as the environment which the character exists in her work; this is based on her experience involving of a crucial moment in her early age. Pencil drawing of her animation character shows the thin and fragile line which is a metaphor the characteristic feature of the character, stereoscopic strong imagery of environment created for character shows intense impression of unknown, almighty power from the environment.
