Hill (Donguk) Yim (b1993, Seoul, Korea) studies his BFA in studio arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Hill has learned many diverse areas in film, video, Animation and new media. While working as an assistant editor for a Korean feature film, House of Hummingbird, directed by Bo-ra Kim, Hill could develop his post-production skills. The film was world premiered in Berlin International Film Festival and won the Grand Prix. Since 2018, he started to focus on the process of post-production for his projects. The Form (2018) and The Stream of Consciousness (2019) are his thesis projects that show his recent emphasis. The Form got five winning awards in four different international film festivals. Experimental narrative and visualization are the main themes of his work.
