Dina Cline

Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts Degree

Dina Cline (b. 1988) is an interdisciplinary artist, working primarily in painting and ceramics. Her practice is engaged in philosophical ideologies and other academic inquiries; affect theory, neuroscience, and the nature of reality are often at the forefront of Cline’s practice. Large scale oil paintings filled with iconography and symbolism lend themselves as reference points for Cline’s ceramic works. Her works explore subjects through a bold use of color and covert sense of humor. Cline’s practice includes playful explorations of scale, vessels, and the human condition. Cline’s work is part of the Richter-Shirley Collection, and has been featured at the Nevelson Chapel in NYC with Work in Progress advisory.
