Fernando Saldivia Yáñez is a filmmaker based between Puerto Williams, Chile, and Chicago, USA. His practice focuses on using intimate observations to portray individuals, communities, and traditions in a context of climate change, global disruptions, and neoliberal policies. His work has been shown at different festivals and spaces including the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, and the Gene Siskel Film Center. His first feature-length documentary film, On the Traces of Time, had its world premiere at the Santiago International Film Festival.
