Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Kylie Heewon Park is a filmmaker based in Chicago and Seoul. Her interests lies in observing seemingly contradictory thoughts and emotions that constantly collide between the past and present. Her biggest inspirations are the discrepancies in human desires that lead to feelings and afterimages that are difficult to verbalize.

Some moments are beyond words. Film is a powerful medium that stimulates many of our senses. A film incorporates a wide arrange of elements including space, movement, time, sound and texture. It has helped me better understand myself, other human beings and the world around me. I consider the medium not as a two-dimensional capture of moving images but rather light, space, movement, touch, sight and sound.
