Mihye Kang is a painter, photographer, and filmmaker born in Korea. As a first-generation immigrant, she observes non-fictional events around labor and identity, analyzing and deconstructing cinematic language while playing with its use and meaning to decolonize the spectacle. In the fast-changing media landscape, she strives to listen to people’s stories, constantly measuring the distance and depth of her gaze.
